Yamaha Keyboard Course (Ages 8+)
PFK offers a creative and engaging approach to keyboard learning, suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced.
Open to ages 8 and up, this course blends traditional one-on-one lessons with a modern group format, enhancing interaction and ensemble play.
How it works?
Students participate in both solo and group activities, exploring a range of music styles from rock and pop to classical and blues. The course covers essential skills, including technique development, music reading and writing, rhythm exercises, listening skills, improvisation, arranging, composing, and music theory. Yamaha keyboards are provided at the studio for each student.
The course also features fun band activities where students play together, as well as interactive games that involve all keyboards. These activities promote group listening and teamwork, helping students build essential ensemble skills.
Students have the option to take exams and progress through an accredited syllabus, with Grades 6–8 offering UCAS points.
