Drum Lessons at The Music Cube in Reading
Suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced, for ages 6 and up.
Our drum lessons cover a wide range of activities, including technique, reading, listening, rhythm work, writing, and improvisation. We place a strong emphasis on hands/feet technique, drum tuning and setup, posture, sound balance, and accuracy. Fundamental exercises focus on coordination and rudiments, essential for developing a solid drumming technique.
Students explore various music styles and play along with diverse songs. Lessons are tailored to meet each student’s individual needs. Students have the option to take exams and progress through an accredited syllabus, with Grades 6–8 offering UCAS points. Teenage students can also integrate our lessons with activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Arts Award, or music GCSEs.
