Yamaha Keyboard Course
JPFK offers a creative and engaging approach to keyboard learning, suitable for beginners aged 6-7.
This course combines one-on-one instruction with a modern group format, enhancing interaction and ensemble play.
How it works?
The course features a variety of activities including movement, imagery, rhythm, singing, music reading and writing, listening skills, technique, and keyboard play with different sounds. Students explore various music styles through themed books with fun illustrations and backing tracks. The curriculum includes playful band activities and interactive games involving all keyboards, promoting group listening, teamwork, and essential ensemble skills.
Yamaha keyboards are provided at the studio for each student. The Yamaha technique emphasises ‘ear before eye,’ allowing students to learn by listening, singing, and playing first, with reading and writing introduced later – similar to how toddlers speak before they read and write!
Students can take exams through an accredited syllabus for ‘Debut’ and ‘Grade 1’ levels.
Experience top-quality Yamaha equipment and develop skills for a musical career or personal enjoyment.
