At The Music Cube in Reading, we guide each student on their own musical path. Everyone finds inspiration in different ways — our role is to help them discover it.
Our facilities in Caversham are designed to create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for all our students. While you await your lesson, relax in our comfortable waiting room, where complimentary tea and coffee are available.
Our music studios in Reading are equipped with industry-standard gear, including two drum kits, seven keyboards, two full-size pianos, percussion instruments, microphones, and recording equipment.
As an official Yamaha Music School in Reading, we proudly feature Yamaha’s renowned instruments and technology for exceptional sound quality and performance.
We also offer top-tier software like Logic Pro and gear from leading brands such as Roland, providing a comprehensive and professional music-making experience.
Meet our team that you will be working with during your lessons
With over 14 years in music education and the industry, I’ve taught, mentored, and facilitated workshops across Berkshire & Oxfordshire, collaborating with organisations like The Prince’s Trust, Youth music & Readipop. I’ve performed at major UK festivals like Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Womad, and at iconic venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.
I launched The Music Cube and partnered with Yamaha Music to open their Reading school, offering dynamic group courses using Yamaha’s innovative teaching method.
I also continue to teach one-on-one lessons in piano, keyboard, and drums! hold a BA (Hons) in Music Production, Grade 8 in drums (RSL), piano qualifications with ABRSM, and am a certified Yamaha Music Instructor. I’ve also completed training with Trinity and Access Creative College and am a member of the Independent Society of Musicians.

Vocal Coach, Guitar & Piano
Simon has been teaching since 2017, with experience in various educational settings including international schools and leading full music curricula. Skilled in both vocal and instrumental teaching, he has run choirs, group workshops, and 1-to-1 lessons, as well as organising concerts and school performances.
Drum & Piano Tutor
Also skilled in guitar and ukulele, Justin is a Drum Tech graduate with extensive touring experience, including Glastonbury Festival, and professional work with Warner & P&O cruises and resorts. Now playing in a Brazilian funk band, he also offers personalized in-home drum and piano lessons.
Piano Teacher
Parisa is a passionate piano teacher with over 10 years’ experience and a Master’s in Arts and Education (Distinction) from Newcastle University. She blends the Orff-Schulwerk approach with interactive games and creative workshops for young learners, and has contributed to global music education, translating The Art of Teaching Piano into Persian.
Piano, Keyboard & Violin Teacher
Yukin is an experienced teacher with over 11 years of professional teaching in the UK and Hong Kong. Holding a Diploma in Music Performance (Piano), a Certificate of Teaching (Piano), and Grade 8 in Violin and Music Theory, she combines strong technical expertise with a supportive, creative approach.
